10:00am to 4:00pm
in the Upper Squamish Valley.
On this day, we will enjoy harvesting, eating, drinking and processing the nettles into various forms. We will make nettle vinegar, nettle alcohol extract and learn the best way to dry them for later use. You will learn plenty of useful medicinal information from folkloric nettle practices to current clinical discoveries. Technological uses will also be covered. The handouts are thorough & include many yummy nettle recipes. We will have a covered area in case the weather is inclement. Cancellation may occur if it looks like a full day of heavy downpour is upon us, but if it is just a little drizzle, we will continue on in true west coast fashion.
